Aloneness

The Exhibit
What does it mean to be alone? How is it different from being lonely? How have we connected with this topic in the last 18 months of pandemic outbreaks and lockdowns? How did our restricted social lives and cultural experiences affect our relationship with ourselves?
Aloneness is a debut immersive art exhibit of the duo Kia Kali and Alex Cuthbertson that explores the relationship we cultivate with ourselves in solitude. Multiple installation spaces invite visitors to experience a different aspect of this topic, offering contained spaces to breathe, think your thoughts and feel your feelings while blurring the view of others and sharpening your inner connection.
You are invited to travel through different atmospheres and take space to sense and reflect upon what aloneness means to you. Through sound, light, touch and smell, you will be guided on a several-stage journey to explore the light and shadows of the most intimate relationship we have and the one that matters most: the one with yourself.
